Make this the year you're going to set your self up for success at the holidays! I love sweets, but if there is a salty snack mix around, I will always go for that! I have been making and bringing this snack mix to our last few family get togethers, and it has completely kept me from being tempted by other off plan snacks. It's so good! Best of all, everything you need for this can be bought at your local grocery store.

3 cups of mixed nuts

1.5 cups peanuts

1 cup cashews (or an additional cup of peanuts for a more budget friendly option)

2 packages of Whisps Cheese Crisps, broken in half (any flavor you prefer, I like the Parmesan or Cheddar for this mix). I usually buy these at Wal-Mart.

4 Tbsp. Melted Butter

1 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce

1/4 tsp. onion powder

1/2 tsp. garlic powder

3/4 tsp. seasoned salt (I am not a purist, and don't mind using a little seasoned salt. If you prefer to make your own, here is a good recipe).

Preheat oven to 250. Mix all of the dry ingredients together in a 9 x 13 pan. Stir the seasonings, melted butter, and Worcestershire Sauce together. Pour mixture over the dry ingredients. Mix well, and bake for one hour, stirring every 15-20 minutes. Cool on paper towels and store in an airtight container.

Optional- After it has cooled, add in either some of these cheese crackers or some THM Shameless Cheese crackers. They are both so good!

I only make this for holidays because it is quite calorie dense, but I love having a delicious option that doesn't make me go off track or feel awful during the holidays! Enjoy!
